Chuck Solomon has been photographing sports, action and lifestyle for the past thirty-five years.
A former staff photographer, as well as a current contributor, at Sports Illustrated; his photographs have appeared on the cover of that magazine more than forty times. He is currently based in the New York/New Jersey area.

Equally proficient at shooting action as well as portraits and picture stories, he is also the the photographer and author of a series of children's books including: Our Soccer League, Playing Hockey and Major League Batboy.

Chuck has received numerous awards for his photographs, including placement in the prestigious POY competition and he has had an image named by Sports Illustrated as one of the One Hundred Greatest Sports Photographs of All Time. Time.com named one of his images as one of the Twenty-Four Greatest World Series Photographs of All Time.He was recently profiled in Adorama's “Meet a Pro” series as well as Sports Illustrated’ s “Behind the Lens” series.

Always a firm believer in the power and lasting impact of the still image; he has spent a good deal of his career attempting to make memorable pictures.When not taking pictures,he can be found spending time with his two daughters and sweating on a spin bike.
