As a visual artist that has been painting and sculpting for most of his life, David Tobey doesn’t just create art, but strives to create visual experiences. David uses colors and brushstrokes in the same way a composer creates music. Just as one can visualize music, David creates artwork that you can hear; pieces that convey rhythm, balance, composition, and movement to give the viewer an immediate, visceral reaction. His paintings and prints have been featured in Lincoln Center, the Juilliard School, the George W. Bush Presidential Library, the American Cancer society and are in numerous private collections.
